ODEA, Montréal QC By Cogir Group
INSPIRED BY NATURE The name of the project, Odea, is based on the Cree word “ode” meaning canoe which will explain the subtle and stylized symbol of the canoe in the architecture. Located at the gateway to downtown, Odea aims to highlight the presence of the Cree Nation in Montreal through a distinctive project, integrating their values and highlighting some of the characteristics of their culture. The architectural design creates a visual and urban link between the project and its environment. The conceptual approach reveals the unique character of the project while ensuring its urban integration. A collaboration between Jean-Francois Gagnon, Project Design Principal, with the Indigenous emeritus architect Douglas Cardinal allowed for the exploration of the Cree community symbols and the integration of a strong cultural identity in the project’s architectural composition. Victoria sur le parc by Broccolini
Live Above and Beyond To Montreal, that awaits only its builders and its dreamers to live above and beyond. Victoria sur le parc is the embodiment of balance. Between moderation and excess, it is a glass beacon rooted in the heart of a green space, a 200-metre-high tower built on a human scale. Victoria sur le parc is an ecosystem where you can live, work and play in one place, where the spaces have been designed to open minds and make borders disappear, where everything is fluid and interconnected, a reflection of Montreal’s unique energy.
