Pier 27 - Phase 3 - Bldg F, Toronto ON by Cityzen Development Group
Located at the southeast intersection of Queens Quay East and the Yonge Street slip, the site’s redevelopment will help to complete the long-term vision for Pier 27. Ensuring that Pier 27’s final phase is part of the effort to build back better for the Queens Quay area. By bringing this last piece of the master plan for Pier 27 to life, we see this development of the Phase 3 lands as an opportunity to: - Create a landmark development consistent with the City of Toronto's goals for the Central Waterfront - Respond to the evolving development context with a revised proposal that builds on Pier 27's guiding principles - Maintain Pier 27's commitment to high quality design, public art, and striking architecture - Enhance connections to the waterfront and support new park and public spaces - Activate the public realm along Queens Quay and within the Pier 27 community with generous new retail spaces - Deliver seamless connections to the planned streetscape and transit improvements along Queens Quay Source: Pier 27 Phase 3
Don Valley Reconnects, Toronto ON by Cityzen Development Group
Creating new parkland in the heart of the Don Valley Toronto is in need of more places for people to live, gather, and play. Though the Flemingdon Park neighborhood sits on the edge of the Don River Valley, access is limited. Private ownership of key valley lands has restricted access and made it challenging to connect parts of the valley. To increase the supply of parkland and housing, Don Valley ReConnects proposes to repurpose the Flemingdon Golf Club, a privately owned golf course located at 155 St. Dennis Drive, and return approximately 95% of the site (40 acres) for public use. The proposed 40-acres—roughly the size of Trinity Bellwoods Park— would represent one of the largest contributions of new public open space in Toronto’s recent history. This parkland would be unlocked by the development of four residential buildings on a small portion of the site, alongside St. Dennis Drive. Source: Don Valley Reconnects
